Fundada en 1952
El negocio se estableció por WB Chambers en 1952. Tim Chambers propietario y actual director general, se ha hecho cargo del manejo de las huertas familiares desde 1990, enfocándose en la producción de bayas y cereza.
Tim represents the third generation of the Chambers family to take over the running of the business.
Tim is also Chairman of The Rubus Breeding Consortium based at East Malling Research in Kent, a grower led consortium which seeks to produce new varieties of raspberries and blackberries which are not restricted by marketing agreements. The Consortium includes: Spanish fruit producer organisation, Onubafruit; Swiss garden plant suppliers, Lubera; UK fruit producer WB Chambers and East Malling Services (EMS), the commercial division of East Malling Research (a major UK organisation renowned for horticulture research and especially well known for its ground-breaking research on fruit crops). The Consortium focuses on evolving improved and brand-new varieties capable of delivering the desired quality / yield of crop balanced with commercial viability.
Production Director of Chambers Farming
Salih joined the business in 2002 and is now responsible for the management of all farming activity in the UK and Poland.
Salih also works closely with Chambers’ partner growers in Spain, Morocco and Mexico enabling the business to achieve its impressive scale of commercial fruit production.
James has been involved in the food industry since 2005, working across a variety of commercial and supply chain roles.
A graduate of Sheffield University and the University of Oviedo in Spain where he studied International Business and Spanish, James now manages the commercial activity for the farms and the import business.
Silviya has joined Chambers in 2001. As a HR manager she is responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR practices and processes in the business. Silviya holds a CIPD accredited Level 5 in Human Resource Management.
Joined in 2009 and since 2013 oversees quality control functions for the all the products. Gigi and her team ensure that all produce meets customer specifications and their feedback helps growers to understand the quality required
Packhouse Operations Director
Experienced in farm management, Howard and his teams manage all aspects of technical compliance, audits, packhouse quality teams and the packhouse operations.
Technical & Compliance Manager
Has over 30 years’ experience working with soft fruit packhouses. Specialises in technical and compliance, BRC and HACCP. Joined WB Chambers in March 2015.
Commercial Administration Manager
Monika has been in the industry since 2002, working for farms as well as marketing companies. She has 6 years of experience managing administration departments. Monika holds a Master degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Kent
Vasil joined in 2005 and has worked in all areas of the business
Joined in 2003, now overseas picking and harvest for the 1200 pickers
Desi has been working for Chambers since 2008, she’s been involved in many areas of the business and moved to procurement administration in 2017
Farm Finance Manager
Joined in 2000. Plamen and his team manage all financial operations within the company including payroll for more than 1400 employees
